Does holistic healing work?
so i have tried everything to get rid of my acne and nothing has worked..i now have BDD and suffer from depression due to the acne on my face. therapy doesn't do anything for me either, so i was wondering if i should go to a ho istic healing doctor that does Homeopathy, Herbology, Nutrition, Detoxification and Spiritual Counseling. my question is does this stuff actually work? i can't live another day doing nothing about my acne... i'm at the end and i just need help. but it's going to cost money so i just need to make sure it's going to help.... i'm a 18 year old girl
So I went to a counselor who practices holistic healing and energy work...is she a crackpot? whats the deal?
She prayed to father, son, mother God, Jesus and Arch Angel Michael. She laid hands and supposedly changed my shakrahs by not touching me but creating energy flows then basically laid herself onto my thighs and and mumbled a bunch of stuff.... I am a good sport...what the heck right? But what is the deal with my energy and shakrahs. is there really a way to improve energy flow and improve my health? is this it? or have you had any experiences with these practitioners....shes got certficates galore...but it seemed a little hokey to me.

Do pharmaceutical grade herbs, extracts, and other holistic healing supplements exist?
I had a free initial consultation with a Christian Holistic Healing Doctor with multiple college degrees. He claims that he can heal me but he wants to charge me $50 per session. He says that I also have to purchase the supplements, herbs, and extracts from him because they are of a Pharmaceutical grade and those Pharmaceutical grade Supplements, Extracts, and herbs are not sold to the general public. According to him they are only sold to people with his qualifications and training. He also said that I cannot just go to a health food store and buy whatever they recommend or books recommend for my illnesses because everyone has their own body chemistry and what resonates with one person may not help the next person. He says that I have to do sessions with him so that he can test me and see what Supplements, herbs, and extracts resonate with my body chemistry and that his pharmaceutical grade of products are much more pure and concentrated than what I can obtain on my own. Has anyone else had any experience with this? Is there such a thing as pharmaceutical grade Supplements etc.? My Father advised not to waste my money that he has never heard of such a thing. What do you think?

I am fascinated with holistic healing as well as psychology. I do not believe that medication should be used as much as it is used for things like anxiety, depression, panic attacks and etc. I feel that there are alternatives that people can and should take before resorting to any meds. I myself dealt with all of those issues and refused meds and I got through it all and have not had a panic attack in a long time. I would love to help people with all these issues and other imbalances through holistic therapies as well as educating them on the mind body connection. Where should I start on my path to this type of career? What type of schooling should I look into?
