Reiki can be very effective for stress reduction. It can be extremely relaxing. I don't know of any clinical studies showing that it has much of an impact on physical diseases. MESSAGE TO DAVE: The practitioner definitely touches the client. If you are going to criticize something, educate yourself about what you are criticizing. DAVE: You admit your answer was wrong, but that submitting a wrong answer is "completely irrelevant, " to quote you verbatim. Hmm, unusual logic here. |

The story of Reiki, have been shrouded by myth and fable for decades. Much research has been undertaken to discern the true roots of the beautiful Reiki tradition. Reiki is an ever evolving, flexible and creative form of growth, relaxation and development. Practicing Reiki helps create harmony in the body, giving a deep sense of peace and relaxation. The Reiki system is not the only factor that determines how the body is attuned to the Reiki energy. The person giving a Reiki treatment also receives the healing effect of the energy as it flows through them. What Is Reiki yoga-store.net/ what-is-reiki.htm |

Reiki ranks just below homeopathy and "crystal healing " in efficacy. There is nothing to indicate it works at all for any problem. Many studies and meta-analysis have all indicated no benefit. It simply does not work. |

Effective? Not at all. It involves holding your hands over someone else without touching them, then pretending you've magically shifted some kind of 'negative energy' about. Utterly ridiculous concept, never mind that it can't possibly have any effect. Message to Junkie: It's completely irrelevant, it's still a scammer conning money out of a gullible person with an illness. If you spent more time studying science you might have half an idea why reiki is such a scam. |

Don't listen to Mathieu, as he is a medical student and is naturally taught that Reiki and most forms of alternative therapy are bologna because it would put most doctors out of business. Reiki is INCREDIBLY effective if practiced with good intentions and focus. In my experience, Reiki works when nothing else does. For it to be effective the giver must be, as I said, focused and also have a positive mental attitude. They must believe that it works, that they are effective at giving it themselves, otherwise the energy will not flow because it's strength is determined by the intention it is given with. In my experience, I have cured myself of very painful ovarian cysts, I have healed a very nasty broken thumbnail completely in less than a month, saved my cat's gangrene infected tail when the vet said he would have to remove it, cured headaches, nausea, helped to get rid of wrinkles and scars on my, my mother's and friend's skin...I'm sure I could do much more with it. But you must be focused, relaxed, positive, and above all, consistent with applying Reiki. Reiki works WONDERS, don't let anyone tell you different. And best of all, it is free if you learn it yourself. Also, DON'T listen to anyone that says you need an attunement to practice Reiki. Anyone that says this is just trying to make money. Reiki is life energy that courses through all of us. All it takes is visualization and awareness of this energy coursing through your body and out your hands for it to be channeled. |
