I saw a show on television involving something called therapeutic touch and I was wondering if it is the same as Chakra Cleansing or just similar.

The therapist then walks away, taking the patient's disease with him... I know of no osteopath that uses the technique as it is described above.It sounds more like reiki than anything else.I apologise if anyone has been misled at all. I didn't know what the technique actually was and assumed, because of the naming of the technique implies, that it involved physical contact which has been long established to enhance the release of Oxytocin a feel good hormone As no contact is involved why is it called therapeutic touch?
