Summer weight loss questions!?
So I plan on working out and burning minimum of 600 calories a day, which is awesome. I'm also a teenager, so I can lose weight fast... IF I try to. But I eat around 1400 1500 calories a day, which is not bad, but the minimum for weight loss is 1200. Should I try to eat less? Or will it all come off? Or what? Thanks everyone

Is swimming a suitable exercise for weight loss?
Hi there, I'm just about to turn 30, and although and active person through work, i have put on a bit of weight over the last year or so. I want to trim down, get from a 38' waist to a 34'. Not bothered about being buffed up, just want to loose a bit of weight. I used to swim alot when i was younger, and and was wondering if going for a swim each night is suitable for weight loss, combined with healty eating smaller portions etc?I'd prefer to do that, along with walks at the weekend, than the gym but whatever it takes. Thanks for reading.

Help with my Thyriod and weight loss?
ok this sounds crazy but i am this desperate to lose weight. Well first of all I am 14, 175 pounds and I have hypothyroidism, I have been taking Levothyroxine 112 MCG for 5 years. Now what I am asking is1. Can I lose weight Fat with taking an extra pill every night 224 MCG2. Is it safe? life threating?I am sick and tired of being fat, I have tried with all my might to lose weight... every 2 3 weeks I would try a new type of diet and see if i lose any weight... so far I have only gained weight1. I tried starving myself, I would eat like a thing of crackers a day and thats it... I finally did some reaserch and figured out that probably was the worst thing I could do 2. eating only dinner3. eating a 300 calorie breakfest, only fruit and meat for lunch, and small 700 calorie dinner 30 minutes of exercise every day push ups, sit ups, running etc...4.no starch diet, rice, noodles, potatos, or bread5. high dairy protien greek yogart every morning, meat salad cheese for lunch, yogart meat bread running for 45 min....With all of these diets the only thing I would drink is water...and water, only not even milk just because I dont like milk P I have did a ton of reserch on the internet and none of it worked... I really do try to lose weight, it's gotten to the point were I would do ANYTHING to lose 30 pounds...My mother talked to my doctor about my weight acouple years ago and doctor lady said It was just me not trying hard enough, It had nothing to do with my thyriod problems...BUT I WAS TRYNG, I would forget all about social activities and my friends just so I can work on my weight..Sorry this paragraph was 2 diffrent subjects.... and for the incorrect grammer.. I'm in a hurry

Tomato juice weight loss and retaining water?!?
Ok I need the straight in this skinny, basically I LOVE tomato juice just straight and have gotten in the habit of drinking a glass for breakfast a glass for lunch along with some kind of berris blueberries straw berries moe berries etc then eating something filing at super. I have been told though by family that tomato juice will make you retain water and a lady at the supplant store locally says that tomato juice can actually make you gain weight ? I was kind of shocked personally I have lost a few pounds and don't really believe it does but I wanted a few opinions. So figured what the heck why not ask So 1 does tomato juice cause you to retain fluid and if so how can you get rid of the fluid then 2 does tomato juice cause weight gain? And yes I am drinking the actually but tomatoes and put them in a juicer not the concentrate I also eat whole tomatoes like I do a apple cause I love tomatoes

Is fat free chobani greek yogurt good for weight loss?
I was wondering if I should add two servings of fat free chobani greek yogurt to my diet. I dont like alot of meat and I love chobani greek yogurt for a good protien boost. I dont think having two a day would be bad for snacks or a quick breakfast in the morning. What do you guys think?

Weight loss calculations and advice?
I'm trying to lose weight and I'm just wondering if my calculations pertaining to weight loss are correct. First off, I need to say I know there is variation possible in weight loss, this is just an estimate. So, I'm 21 years old, 5'7" , and I am moderately physically active I do cardio 3 4 times week for at least 30 minutes, though sometimes more like 45 minutes I do strength building exercises intermittently 1 2 times week I work as a waitress 5 nights week so I'm on my feet walking for at least 3 hours each night and I walk to and from work which is about 20 minutes each way . I currently weigh 145lbs and would like to drop down to 125 or 130lbs... All this brings me to my actual question drum roll please P ...I have calculated that to maintain my current weight, I need approximately 2200 calories day. To lose 1lb, 3500 calories need to be burned. Does that mean if I cut my calories down to 1550 day and burn 200 calories day as an average some days more, some days less , that my total weight loss would be about 2lbs week? I guess my calculations go somewhat along these lines 1550 calories is 650 calories less than I need to maintain my weight times that by 7 for each day of the week and that's 4550 calories lost add 200 calories burned through exercise each day that's 1400 calories burned . All that together means 5950 calories burned, which is roughly 2 2 1 2lbs.Does my logic work? Is this diet medically sound? Has anyone tried it and had success or failure ? Please share weight loss solutions that worked for you. Any and all advice is appreciated even if it's to tell me that this regimen is stupid . Thank you. What the heck? I'm pretty sure there are a few of you out there who answered my question and thank you as I received 2 e mails telling me I had new answers, but yahoo answers shows 0 answers to my question. What is going on? I obviously want to hear what others have to say or else I wouldn't have posted this question... Grrrrr...
